本研究是探討駕駛在不同天候及有無車長輔助閱讀地圖時所產生的心智負荷變化情形,其情境內容是採用多重資源理論中輸入模態改變的部分,藉由車長的加入來減輕駕駛的心智負荷。實驗共招募管理學院研究生20員,運用生理(心搏率及心率變動性)量測及主觀評量(NASA-TLX)的方式來探討駕駛在模擬情境中心智負荷的變化情形,並同時評估駕駛績效(完成時間)。實驗後發現心智負荷在主觀評量及駕駛績效的部分為顯著差異,當有車長或晴天的狀況下心智負荷較低且完成時間較快,而在研究當中也發現在晴天無車長及濃霧有車長這個組合之間的比較是沒有顯著差異的,其原因可能是在濃霧下增添車長後有效地降低了受試者的心智負荷,使其與在晴天開車時相同,經由上述結果我們可以發現適當的進行任務分配後可有效降低任務執行者的心智負荷,並提高工作效率。然而本次研究結果在生理量測部分除休息與執行任務時有顯著差異外,其餘晴天有車長、晴天無車長、濃霧有車長及濃霧無車長這四種情況之間是無顯著差異產生。
