Since the admission to the World Trade Organization (WTO) , the trade between Taiwan and other countries has increased. Along with the admission, training talents in professional language ability and broad knowledge becomes urgent matter for longterm external relations. Due to the increasing demand of the conference interpretation, the market for the professional interpreters with expert knowledge will also expand. For employers, the requirement of the interpreter is higher, and the quality of the interpreters is very important. Controling the quality of the interpreters is related with the quality of the interpreters’ training. In the past, the education of the interpreters merely paid attention to the training courses for the interpretation, but failed short of the comparison between the interpretation and translation for the beginner, and the solution for the misuse during the interpretation. Furthermore, it is more difficult to obtain the material of private sound and video recording in the live interpretation due to confidentiality. In Taiwan, only a few experts take professional interpreter as study subject, not to mention about the training for the beginner in interpretation. Professional interpreters are not only fluent in foreign language, also have proficiency skills in interpretation and expert knowledge. However, mistakes of the professional interpreters are usually difficult to correct because they happen during live conference s. It is easy to misuse for the beginners in the interpretation, even if in the beginning of the languages learning. They may not face the problems in the beginning and then gradually lose the opportunities to improve simply because of their ignorance. The study focuses on the training of the professional conscious to prevent the misuse when the interpreters attempt to accomplish the correct and swift interpretation. The professional conscious refers to the re-analysis the misuse in live interpretation, and the misunderstanding and disputes caused by the interpreters. By recognizing the strategy and prevention of the misuse, interpreters are able to improve themselves by sound recording and video recording. The research studies on beginners in interpretation from the senior of undergraduate to graduate student of grade one from Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, and a professional interpreter who offers the model of interpretation. Then we compare the different versions of interpretation according to interpreters’ background information such as nationality, age, years of Japanese education, Japanese abilities, working experience, and the interpreter experience, with the professional interpreters. After studying the background and types of the misuse, we then move on to discuss the situation of the misuse in the live interpretation. As such, we hope this research is useful to prevent the interpretation beginners’ misuse.
