本研究分析當合約製造商(contract manufacturer)覬覦品牌的高利潤而自創品牌,因而導致通路衝突,同時合約製造商為非理性的決策者時,對整體通路系統利潤有何影響。由於合約製造商為非理性決策者,我們假設他是以「公平」為準則進行決策,因此在決策制定時,他寧可犧牲某些利益也要取得公平的對待。我們延伸Cui et al. (2003) 在傳統通路下公平的機制,並將此公平機制應用於合約製造商因自創品牌所產生的對偶通路中,同時考慮需求變異對通路系統的影響。研究結果發現,此公平機制讓合約製造商在尚未自創品牌前,可透過一單一的批發價格來最大化整個通路系統的利潤。然而,當合約製造商因自創品牌而形成一對偶通路時,此公平機制雖然使得整體通路系統的利潤有所上升,但卻無法達到利潤最大化。
We incorporate the notion of fairness in indirect channel and dual channels to discover how fair-minded contract manufacturer will do while facing demand variability. We assume the contract manufacturer who with less power in channel cares about fairness. Consequently, the contract manufacturer is willing to give up some monetary to get more equitable outcome. We discover that if the contract manufacturer is a fair-minded member, he can set a wholesale price to coordinate the channel in indirect channel even they face the demand variability. When fair-mindedly contract manufacturer builds up his own brand to compete with his contracting partner, which results in channel conflict, the whole channel can not earn as much as the profit of centralized supply chain but more than rationally decentralized supply chain by setting a wholesale price.
