隨著我國邁入高齡化社會，對於高齡者的長期照護需求也隨之增加。休閒運動不但能提高自我的肯定、獲得情緒的紓解並可增強體能、減緩身體機能衰退的機率，在長期照護下提供老年人維持定期定量的規律運動習慣實有其必要性。本研究的目的在於建置一套遠距視訊健康操系統，讓高齡者能在家中，透過個人電腦搭配網路攝影機連接至網際網路，無須出門即可與電腦互動進行健康操，達到運動的效果。本研究之健康操系統為線上版，利用Adobe Flash實作移動偵測與移動追蹤兩種演算法作為評分機制，實地請北市北投運動中心的高齡者測試並填寫測試問卷。由測試結果得知，不僅動作的設計讓人滿意，超過一半以上的測試者認為，透過本健康操能讓身體各部位運動到，且能透過本系統更加認同電腦的趣味與功能，由此證明了本做操系統的可用性。

The need for long-term care for the elderly rises as our country becomes an aging society. Recreational sport not only improves the self-esteem of the elderly, it also provides an outlet for their emotions, increases their fitness levels, and slows the rate of degeneration in their bodily functions. Therefore, it is vital to provide a regimen of regular exercise to the elderly who are under long-term care. The goal of this study was to build a distant gymnastic system that allows the elderly to achieve the effects of exercising in the comfort of their own homes. Using just a personal computer connected to the Internet and equipped with a webcam, the elderly interacts with the computer to engage in health exercise. The scoring mechanism of our online health exercise system was based on motion detection and motion tracking algorithms implemented in Adobe Flash. We field-tested our system with elderly subjects at the Beitou Recreation Center and conducted assessment surveys. We know from the test results that in addition to the motion design being satisfactory, more than half of the subjects believe our health exercise system helps them exercise all body parts and reaffirms their beliefs that computers are interesting and functional. It shows the feasibility of the developed system.
