The main purpose of this dissertation is to discuss gender differences in job satisfaction of general university graduates in Taiwan. The analysis based on survey of relevant samples of 2002 university graduates, retrieved from the Higher Education Database System in Taiwan. The Logit Model was utilized to probe the probability of job satisfaction between male and female graduates, and to explain the relations between selected variables. STATA software is utilized as an analytical tool for examination graduate school, majoring in the field, gender, and appearance of self-satisfaction situation, work with what they have learned about the case, weekly working hours, monthly income, the nature and types of company job satisfaction and other variables on gender differences. This research also examines the interaction between gender and other variables in regression analysis.
Sample survey of female university graduates, self-satisfaction of the appearance, work content and what they have learned about are not related (highly relevant as a reference group), work content and what they have learned about are partial related (highly relevant as a reference group) , high weekly working hours (medium weekly working hours as a reference group), the lower and higher monthly income (the medium monthly income as a reference group), primary and secondary school teachers (white collar workers as reference group) ,which are the significant variables to predict the odds ratio of job satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Sample survey of male university graduates, self-satisfaction of the appearance, work content and what they have learned about are not related (highly relevant as a reference group), company type are public utilities, government agencies and public schools (No public offering stock companies as a reference group), which are the significant variables to predict the odds ratio of job satisfaction and dissatisfaction.
The research data analysis shows some conclusion as follows: sample survey of university graduates, self-satisfaction of the appearance, work content and what they have learned about are not related and partial related (highly relevant as a reference group), high weekly working hours (medium weekly working hours as a reference group), the lower and higher monthly income (the medium monthly income as a reference group), primary and secondary school teachers (white collar workers as reference group), interactive item sex-company type are sex-public utilities, sex-government agencies and sex-public schools (No public offering stock companies as a reference group), which are the significant variables to predict the odds ratio of job satisfaction and dissatisfaction.
