醫療網路從傳統的有線升級到無線，卻需要面對無線網路訊號衰弱、地形影響與上傳頻寬的種種限制，以致於使用者無法得到穩定且最佳的網路品質。
Wimax (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access)網路有著比3.5G 多約10 倍的上傳頻寬，可以提供更多的資源來傳送醫療資訊；我們殷切期盼它能為健康照護提供快速又方便的聯絡網路。有藉於此，本文將以遠距醫療與居家照護所需的網路品質，來設定Wimax 在IPv4/v6 的各種參數，觀察其中的網路效能變化是否可以達到要求的水準。
Wimax 可讓使用者在做生理監控時，改善因地點轉移而需不停切換網路。然而同一網域的使用者數仍需做管制，以利傳送醫療資訊可以保持水準之上，才可確保Wimax 的最大效益。

Medical Treatment network has been upgraded from wired to
wireless, however we have to face the problem of weak signals,
topography effects and upload limits. That makes user cannot have a
stable and better net quality.
Wimax has more 10 times of upload limits than 3.5G system, and
has more resorces to access medical treatment information. We truly hope
that Wimax can provide Health Care a efficiency and convenient Network.
Knowing the benefits of Wimax, we’ll base on the net quality of
Telemedicine and Home Care to set the parameter of Wimax in Ipv4/v6
and observe performance the variation of network to fit in with the
standard.
When the users monitor the physiology condition, the Wimax can
help them stop changing the different network. The number of the users at
the same network needs to be limited, so that we can keep the access
quality of medical treatment information. Therefore, the Wimax can be
developed the maximum benefits.
