克勞德•德布西(Claude Debussy, 1862-1918)為十九世紀末到二十世紀初之印象樂派作曲家，對於二十世紀音樂之多元化聲響與各種節奏元素使用，有極大的啟發，使得本論文欲探究之大提琴奏鳴曲，無論在音樂內容或演奏技巧上，均可視為現今最重要的大提琴演奏曲目之一。
本論文分做四章，第一章先說明筆者之研究動機與目的、研究範圍與方法，第二章再由敘述作曲家之成長背景、音樂特色以及創作手法等面向，按樂章先後次序，於第三章中分析、探討其大提琴奏鳴曲之音樂與詮釋方法，並以第四章做為結論。

Claude Debussy, a great master of impressionism, inspired both in the ways of diversities in music harmony and various rhythm materials of the twentieth-century music. Due to its contended music and virtuoso skills, this sonata written for violoncello and piano which is intended to be studied, is surely considered to be one of the most important repertoire for the cellists nowadays.
The thesis is composed of four chapters. The first chapter is about the descriptions of motivation, scope of the research, and materials. Then the second chapter tells about the life of the composer, his music and composition skills. The third chapter is the analysis of music content and ways of interpretation, and the last chapter is the conclusion of the study.
