This study contributes to general understanding of the entrepreneurship as a scientific field of research. This study do so by using Web of Science (WOS) as our data resource, then combining bibliometrics, text mining and self-organizing maps (SOM) to approach the taxonomy of entrepreneurship for the last decade (2002-2012). This research combined three methodologies (Bibliometrics, text mining and SOM) as our “Hybrid methodology”. First, during the pre-process of bibliometrics, removal of unwanted words, stop words and incomplete datasets has been done. Total of 1821 articles were summarized to 94 published journals ranking. According to zipf’s law, top 4 leading journal publications (core journal) remains, obtaining 519 articles on keyword analysis and 591 articles on abstract analysis as the data set adopted in this research. Second, text mining are used to assist analyze, summarization text analysis and meaningful term extraction are also present in this study. Third, this study utilizing self-organizing maps as analyzing methodology, 10 clusters on keyword results and 6 clusters on abstract results. Last, this study defined and brief characteristics for each of these clusters on both keyword and abstract, afterward discuss the finding of this research in the conclusion. This study grouped existing clusters results into three categories, which include (1) Insight into entrepreneur. (2) Formation of new ventures. (3) Environmental factors effecting entrepreneurship. Limitation and suggestion are also provided.
