隨著科技的發展與躍進,愈來愈多人利用數位相機、智慧手機或攝影機等進行影像的記錄,因此許多學者對於如何利用這些影像取得有用的資訊,提出各種不同的演算法。但在影像處理的演算法增加後,如何整合這些技術是相當重要的問題。有鑑於影像處理的發展,人臉偵測與辨識也成為目前主流的技術研究。在人臉偵測本研究利用Ada-boots與Haar-like演算法來判斷影像裡是否有人臉,接著在應用主成分分析法(Principal Component Analysis)進一步判斷影像中的人臉是屬於誰的臉。實驗結果顯示,使用本系統在單人且背景單純的情況下,有99%的偵測成功率與76%的辨識成功率。

More and more people use digital cameras, smart phones or digital cameras and other imaging records as their daily recorders. Many scholars have submitted a variety of different algorithms to process these images and to obtain useful information. A variety of image processing algorithms are increasing, however how to integrate these technologies is becoming an important issue. In the development of image processing, facial detection and recognition are an important issue. In this study,Ada-boots with Haar-like algorithm were used to determine whether the detected image obtained a face. If the image was determined to "yes" that implied someone was detected in the image, then a further determination was completed by the application of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) , who was the someone. The experiment results had shown that the detection rate would succeed 99% and with accuracy rate 76%, under a single and simple background circumstances by this method.
