現今生活中雲端網路常被用來處理使用者大量的資料請求,因此雲端計算(Cloud Computing)的負載平衡是目前網路的熱門技術之一。大部份的雲端網路都是採用Round-Robin的方式來處理伺服器所接受到的資料請求,或者是依照伺服器的工作負載情況來處理。但是這些方法都沒有辦法有效的處理突然進入較長工作時間的資料請求,因而可能會造成伺服器工作效能降低和資料請求反應時間過高。該如何有效降低資料請求反應時間是本篇論文所要探討的課題。
我們根據伺服器的平均反應時間以及伺服器接收到資料請求執行時間的歷史資訊,預測伺服器在所接收到的資料請求執行時間的長短,並利用搬移機制將資料請求執行所需時間的長短以交錯配置的方式在每一台伺服器,使得雲端網路中的伺服器能夠充份的被利用,以降低資料請求反應時間並提高雲端網路的效能。我們的實驗數據結果顯示,我們的方法在伺服器數量較少並且資料請求時間變動範圍較大的情形下,可以降低伺服器平均完成資料請求反應時間,達到改善雲端網路中資料請求反應時間及增加伺服器利用度的效果。

Cloud network has been frequently used to handle massive amount of requests from users these day, and load balancing on cloud computing has been a very important issue is performance impact. Most cloud computing systems dispatch user requests to servers using a random or round-robin fashion. However, these mechanisms cannot effectively handle requests with large execution time variation, which may lead both the server work load and response time to increase to an unacceptable level. Our goal is to achieve better load balance and reduce request response time.
  We use the history of the average response time and request execution time on each server to estimate the execution time of an arriving request. We use a migration mechanism to migrate requests and to other servers. Our goal is to produce a goal mix of long requests and short requests on each server. Simulation results show that, our approach can reduce the average server response time when and the number of servers is not too large the variation range of request execution time is high.
