In today’s challenging competition in the wooden products, enterprises are facing many difficulties and challenges. The financial difficulties due to rising bank’s interest rates, raw material prices are going up, related costs are also escalating. Therefore enterprises need to point out a strategy to cope and adapt to the current situation.
Toward production and business activities of a company, there are many determinants of success or failure of that company such as products, services, human factors, prices, etc and there is an important factor that influences the production and business of a company is logistics activities. This factor will be the competitive advantage of enterprise when it is managed well from placing orders to the import of materials to production and to delivery of goods. The order and import of materials at the right time will reduce storage charges, bank’s interest rates and extra charges especially to ensure the input materials always available for producing products and delivering products to customers on time. But at the time being, Le Lumber company’s logistics activities have not been really effective, these activities usually take place quite long and affect greatly production, distribution and profit.
With many years experience working at import – export department at Le Lumber Company, with knowledge through courses, the study would like to explore the related strategy of logistics activities on Le Lumber Company to understand the status of Le Lumber Company’s logistics activities, find out the problems of logistics activities, propose the solutions to solve the difficulties of logistics activities in Le Lumber Company and help the company improve the logistics management activities and to reduce all the risks in payment, in delivery and receipt of goods, cut down costs.
