本研究目的在探討定期貨櫃船公司業務人員對於主管轉換型領導風格、情緒智力與工作績效間關係之研究。在研究方法上是採用結構方程模式的分析方法,研究結果顯示「轉換型領導」對於業務人員「情緒智力」有正向的影響,「情緒智力」對於「工作績效」存在正向的影響關係。但「轉換型領導」對於「工作績效」正向影響的假設,在本研究中並沒有得到驗證支持,但研究結果得知「轉換型領導」可透過「情緒智力」間接影響到「工作績效」。此研究結果可提供定期海運業者在人才培養與員工情緒智力管理之參考。
This study aims to evaluate the effect of transformational leadership on emotional intelligence and job performance of sales professionals in the container shipping industry. Data is collected from 177 respondents who are working in the sales department of container shipping companies. A structural equation modeling approach was employed in the study. Results indicated that transformational leadership had a positive influence on emotional intelligence, whereas emotional intelligence had a positive influence on job performance. The research findings found that emotional intelligence plays a mediating role between transformational leadership and job performance. Practical implications of the research findings for shipping companies were discussed.
