畫中有畫是一個相當有趣且富含多種意境的一種藝術形式,創作者將一個或是多個物體與背景作融合,讓被隱藏的物體能以和諧的形態存在於背景當中,而不會讓人有突兀的感覺。觀賞這類型藝術時,乍看之下可能只是一幅簡單的作品,但經過一段時間之後,透過大腦的重新組織,會在作品中看到有別於背景的其他意象,讓作品的豐富度提升。

從藝術技巧上來看,呈現畫中有畫的形式相當的多,本篇的特點在於如何以地圖當作主要的背景素材,將輪廓特徵強烈的圖案隱藏於其中,卻又不失地圖原本的樣式。一開始,透過形狀比對,我們可以在地圖中找到盡可能逼近欲隱藏物體輪廓的路徑,接著在運用非線性縮放技術將此路徑調整成近似於隱藏物件輪廓的形狀,但於此同時仍舊必須保持地圖道路的特性,讓經過縮放調整的路徑與未經過縮放的道路外觀上沒有差異性,最後在輔以照片拼貼技術,重新把地圖上地形的顏色重現,讓結果既是一張地圖,卻又有別於一般普通的地圖,而是一幅具有隱藏意義、畫中有畫的彩色作品。
Hidden image is an interesting art forms with multi-meaning. Artists merge one or more figures, or the foreground, with the background, and make the figures look harmonious in the background. When we appreciate this kind of art works, it maybe looks uncomplicated at first glance, but we will see more layers different from the background when we focus on works, and it make works meaning- rich.

From the point of view of artistic skills, there are many different ways to generate a hidden image. The particularity of out works is how to use maps to be the main material of background, and hiding a pattern with the distinct contour in the map, but keeping the appearance of map simultaneously. Through shape matching, we can find the routes which depict the shape that compares with the pattern contour as similar as possible. Then, we do the morphing on the routes to make the shape much similar to the outline of pattern without losing the characterization of the map, and make no difference between the warped roads and non-warped roads. Finally, we apply the photo collage skill to redraw the colors back to the result. The result we produce is not only a map but the colorful creations with the implication.
