以偽菜蚜(Lipaphis erysimi)餵飼六條瓢蟲(Cheilomenes sexmaculata),各蟲期在20、25、30 及 35oC下,卵期依序為5.3、2.9、2.1 及 2.2天;幼蟲期依序為22.2、12.2、8.1 及 7.1天;蛹期依序為7.7、5.1、3.8 及 2.3天;卵到成蟲羽化依序為34.1、19.8、13.4 及 11.5天。各蟲期之發育臨界低溫,由卵、幼蟲期、蛹期與卵到成蟲羽化,依序為13.32、 12.57、14.43 及 12.20oC,有效積溫依序為34.64、152.89、51.09及 253.10日度。成蟲壽命以20oC時141.1天為最長,35oC時67.0天為最短;產卵量以20oC時770.9粒卵為最多,以35oC時150.9粒卵為最少。在不同溫度下的族群介量,內在增殖率(rm)及終極增殖率(λ)以30oC時最大(rm = 0.1013d-1、λ = 1.1067d-1),20oC時最小(rm = 0.0390d-1、λ = 1.0398d-1),淨增殖率(R0)以20oC時最大(R0 = 64.3 offspring),35oC時最小(R0 = 16.3 offspring),平均世代時間(T)以20oC時最長,30oC時最短。六條瓢蟲幼蟲捕食體型較小的偽菜蚜若蟲(一、二齡)的數量,很明顯高於捕食體型較大的偽菜蚜(三齡至成蟲)。捕食者的捕食量會隨著食餌密度的增加,而逐漸上升到最大捕食曲線高峰,但捕食率則逐漸遞減,屬於Holling Type II功能反應。
The development of Cheilomenes sexmaculata fed on turnip aphid, Lipaphis erysimi was studied at 20, 25, 30 and 35oC. The egg stage was 5.3, 2.9, 2.1 and 2.2 days, respectively. The larval stage was 22.2, 12.2, 8.1 and 7.1 days, respectively. The pupal stage was 7.7, 5.1, 3.8 and 2.3 days, respectively. The developmental time from egg to adult stage was 34.1, 19.8, 13.4 and 11.5 days, respectively. The lowest developmental temperature threshold values of the egg, larval stage, pupal stage and egg to adult stage were 13.32, 12.57, 14.43 and 12.20oC, respectively. The mean degree-days (DD) were 34.64, 152.89, 51.09 and 253.10 DD, respectively. The longest adult longevity was 141.1 days at 20oC, and the shortest was 67.0 days at 35oC. The highest fecundity was at 20oC and the lowest was at 35oC, which were 770.90 and 150.85 egg, respectively. The intrinsic rate of increase (rm) and the finite rate of increase (λ), were both the highest at 30oC (rm =0.1013d-1, λ=1.1067d-1), and the lowest was at 20oC (rm =0.0390d-1, λ=1.0398d-1). The reproductive rate (R0) was the highest at 20oC (R0 = 64.3 offspring), and the lowest at 35oC (R0 = 16.3 offspring). The longest mean generation time (T) was at 20oC and the shortest was at 30oC. The larva fed significant more number of small size L. erysimi nymph than the large size L. erysimi nymph. The predation number increased with the prey density, however, the predation rate decreased with the prey density, and that fit the Holling type II function.
