  台灣宜蘭地區,冬季氣候低溫且潮濕多雨,外界蜜粉源缺乏,不利於西洋蜂 (Apis mellifera L.) 蜂群的生長。本研究探討人為添加台灣綠蜂膠萃取物於花粉餅中對越冬蜂群的影響。實驗選用宜蘭大學實驗西洋蜂蜂群,於 2011 年至 2012 年的冬季進行。實驗分成單獨餵飼糖水 (Control) 組、人工花粉餅組 (Pollen),以及含有台灣綠蜂膠的人工花粉餅 (PPLs) 組各 5 箱蜂共 15 群。試驗蜂群先行有效防治蜂蟹蟎後,分別針對蜂王乳產量、3日齡蜂王子體重、 9日齡蜂王蛹重、蜂王羽化體重與工蜂蛹重做探討。結果顯示,餵飼含 PPLs 的組別表現最佳,試驗蜂群連續餵飼 8 週後,其蜂王乳產量、3日齡蜂王子體重、9日齡蜂王蛹重、蜂王羽化體重與工蜂蛹重皆顯著高於( P < 0.05) Pollen 組與 Control 組 。越冬期間妥善防治蜂蟹蟎後,餵飼含台灣綠蜂膠萃取物的花粉餅,可使蜂群育幼維持於良好狀態,藉以奠定春季初期蜂群進入大量繁殖期的良好基礎。
The winter season in I-Lan is always cold and humid when compare with the other regions of Taiwan. Honey bee colonies are often lack of nectar and pollen resource to nurse their bee brood unsuccessfully. It may need the nutrient supplements for the wintering bee colonies. In this study, we estimated the feeding effects of Taiwan green propolis extracts on the wintering bee colonies in I-Lan. The experiments were carried out in the winter season of 2011-2012. Fifteen bee colonies dived into control (fed sugar syrup only), Pollen (artificial pollen cake), and PPLs (the pollen cake containing the Taiwan green propolis extracts) groups. All the varroa mites of tested bee colonies had been effectively control before the feeding treatments. The wintering condition of tested bee colonies were monitored including the royal jelly production, the body weights of queen bee larvae, pupae, adults and worker pupae were recorded. The result showed that PPLs groups presented the best performance on the royal jelly production and more body weights of queen bees and worker pupae. These results revealed the PPLs pollen cake could be the supplementary for bee colony nursery maintaining in good condition in winter season thus may help the bee colony be ready to rear mass brood in the early spring of I-Lan, Taiwan.
