在無線通訊系統中,多重輸入多重輸出是一種時下非常流行的概念,其核心想法是藉由空間分集來達到降低錯誤率的目標。時空區段碼就是應用了多重輸入多重輸出概念的一種編碼方式,若將其結合空間調變技術,可提供更多的空間分集。本論文結合多階層編碼與時空區段編碼空間調變的觀念,提出一項新設計。外部碼使用區段碼,內部碼使用時空區段編碼空間調變傳輸矩陣之集合分割,探討使用不同區段碼及其解碼方式與系統錯誤率的關係。

Nowadays, multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) transmission techniques are very popular for wireless communication system. The main idea of MIMO is spanning spatial diversity to enhance system performance. Space-time block code (STBC) applies the general MIMO concept, using multiple transmit and receive antennas to construct. If we combine spatial modulation (SM) technique with it, we can increase its spatial diversity. In this paper, we propose a new coding scheme which integrates the ideas of both multilevel coding (MLC) and space-time block coded spatial modulation (STBC-SM), using block codes as outer code and STBC-SM as inner code. And we make a discussion of system performance while using different block codes.
