In recent years considerable concern has arisen over corporates as several scandals happened as well as salespeople are much autonomic than employees in other functional departments inside an organization. Ethics training programs were suggested to be invoked in organizations. This study proposed an ethics training game and examined whether or not an ethics training with gaming method can improve learners’ moral reasoning as well as motivation.
This study adapted the pretest-posttest control group design where the experiment group was the ethics training with gaming method and the control group was the ethics training without gaming method. The results indicated that the ethics training with gaming method was unable to improve moral reasoning. In terms of motivation, the ethics training game was capable of raising subjects’ motivation. To conclude, this study may provide ethics training program designers a new thinking to design ethics training program in a gaming form as well as suggested further research can delivery ethics training programs through mobile phones in order to fit the mobility of salespeople.
