Teaching method plays a crucial role for an effective learning (Buyukkaragoz, 1997). This study focuses on the cooperative learning method of Jigsaw IV in English class to investigate EFL (English as a Foreign Language) college students’ English learning attitudes and English achievement. The participants are all non-English majored students from a university in the northern Taiwan. The samples are comprised of 77 students separated into two classes. There are a control and an experimental group in the study. The instruments include the feedback questionnaires of the cooperative learning method Jigsaw IV and the English achievement tests. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were employed to collect and analyze data. The results showed that the Jigsaw IV technique contributed to the English learning achievement of the university-level students. Furthermore, the feedback questionnaires indicated that Taiwanese students had inconsistent opinions on Jigsaw IV method. Ultimately, students highlighted the important factors that made the Jigsaw IV method successful in their English learning.
