在這多媒體應用迅速發展的時代,人們經常利用電腦來輔助學習許多事物,甚至將音樂數位化,藉此可以做出更有效的音樂訊號處理或是分析。本篇論文著重於吉他初學的彈奏學習。初學過程中,不論和弦撥刷或是吉他獨奏上指法的切換速度和技巧也相當重要。然而初學者在學習左手指法上可能無法清楚知道手指按壓是否在正確的位置上。由於在初學過程中整體協調能力相當有限,因而會出現注意力在樂譜和對照左手按壓位置之間分散,不少初學者因此面臨到挫折感而降低了學習吉他的熱情。

因此我們開發了一套系統,結合音高偵測、起音點偵測、左手指法提示和動態樂譜技術來幫助學習。系統利用麥克風收入真實樂音,藉著音高偵測來分析彈奏出的音準,再與樂譜上對應的音符來做比對。彈奏過程中,架設在吉他上的網路攝影機可即時顯示出左手手指畫面,並在系統畫面上提示出該彈奏音的指法位置,讓學習者彷彿在鏡子面前練習彈奏一般。更結合動態樂譜系統給予學習者在彈奏過程中即時的訊息回饋,使學習更加有效。不僅能夠降低注意力分散的問題,同時能夠即時知道彈奏正確與否。

To master left-hand coordination is essential for guitar learners. While beginners are practicing, they may be in a chaos when they have to frequently switch their attention between guitar tablature and left-hand. This may frustrate them and decrease their interest of learning.
This thesis attempts to reduce this chaos by setting up a webcam on a guitar head to reflect left-hand fingers on the screen. Learners can glance the fingering hints which will be dynamically showed on the video when they don’t know how to press their fingers. It looks like they’re practicing in front of a magic mirror, which will give you advices. Our system applies Harmonic Product Spectrum to recognize real-time pitches and to compare them with the given notes. We also do onset detection to decide the starting time of each note.
The system provides some popular songs, with basic guitar chords or single notes, for beginners to practice, so they can be more familiar with fingering skill of left-hand. They can also take tempo training to play a song with a fixed rhythm. The experimental result showed that our mirrored hint concept can help guitar beginners learn the left-hand fingering skill with pleasure.
