The innovation capability is one of the imperative strategic weapons of the creating and sustaining advantage to the dynamic competition. The study purpose is to explore the influence of the human capital element to innovation capability. After related literature review, there are five dimensions of human capital elements (employee innovation inclination; skill multi-diversity; decision flexibility; knowledge focus; and competence flexibility) to innovation capabilities (product innovation; process innovation; marketing innovation; and service innovation) are constructed. The target samples are composed of 215 Taiwanese commercial bank branch managers. The confirmatory factor analysis and multi-regression analysis are applied into one-to-one causal relationship between human capital dimensions to the innovation capabilities. The study results provide the banking manager in terms of decision making to the human capital elements investment and management program as well as the reference for specific capability enhancement.
