抬頭顯示器是一種能夠將行車資訊投射於前方擋風玻璃上的新科技,它能讓駕駛在行車時不必為此轉移注意力而造成駕駛分心。然而駕駛者對於抬頭顯示器顯示的資訊,所能接受程度的極限為何,迄今尚無完整充分的資料以供參考,因此本文之目的擬開發ㄧ個人因測試用之視覺資訊顯示模擬測試平台,可針對車用資訊顯示設備所呈現的資訊型態,對於駕駛者的視覺感受與其影響駕駛安全性進行研究,而實驗又可分為靜態測試與動態測試。為了模擬實際駕駛狀況,吾人於模擬測試平台前方放置道路照片作為靜態測試之道路背景用,再控制光源數來模擬白天、黃昏、及夜晚等三種駕駛環境,測試何種數量和資訊的組合方式為大多數駕駛者所能接受。於動態測試時,改以道路影片作為道路背景用,並建立道路劇本,欲獲取更多針對資訊的顯示和位置是否會對駕駛在行車時造成分心,和能否有警示作用之資訊。靜態測試之實驗結果,共找了約300名之受測者進行問卷調查,其多數選擇四個投影項目且須具備車道線,而在駕駛環境方面,白天及黃昏之效果較好,夜晚駕駛環境則是較不理想;於動態測試時,除了原先問卷調查外,還會針對受測者的情緒反應進行客觀的分析,而夜晚駕駛環境問題也由於將道路背景改用影片呈現得到改善。

The Head Up Display(HUD) is a new product that can display information on a car windshield. This product can prevent drivers from being distracted due to inattention. However, few studies have discussed the kinds of information that should be displayed by means of HUD and the amount of data that should be put on display. Therefore, the objective of this study is to build a simulated environment for HUD and study how the displayed information patterns from a HUD affect both the visual experience of the driver and driving safety. This experiment is divided into a static test and a dynamic test. In order to simulate a driving environment during the static test, we extract a road picture from a vehicle video recorder, set it in front of our device, and control lights to simulate three different situations: day, nightfall, and night. The test examines how much driving information and what kinds of combinations are acceptable for most drivers. During the dynamic test, we use video as the driving foreground, and write a script in order to find out if the display and position of information causes distraction and whether it can serve as reminder or warning during driving. We invited 300 volunteers to participate in our static test and fill in our questionnaires. Most of them prefer four display items with lane marking. In terms of situations, the display is better during the day and at nightfall. As for dynamic test, in addition to questionnaires, we will also conduct an objective analysis of volunteers'' emotional responses. The display at night should be improved due to the change of the driving foreground from a road picture to actual video.
