目的：本研究欲探討地區剝奪與社經地位對臺灣老年人自覺健康之影響。
方法：本研究為次級資料分析，利用中央研究院人文社會科學研究中心之調查研究專題中心於2007年完成之「高齡社會的來臨：為2025年的台灣社會規劃之整合研究-不同世代對於老年生活的需求、服務提供以及價值偏好的調查研究(65歲以上)」，完訪之有效樣本共1308人。自覺健康之測量是以問卷中的題目來詢問受訪者目前的自覺健康狀況為何，本研究將自覺健康狀況很好及好歸類為「好」，普通歸為「普通」，很不好及不好歸為「不好」。自變項中，主要分為樣本特性、地區剝奪、社經地位。本研究的地區剝奪測量方法是將標準化初級行業人口比例加上15至17歲不在學率，而該資料來源是從行政院主計處人口普查科的「八十九年臺閩地區戶口及住宅普查報告」及「九十九年人口及住宅普查報告」。社經地位測量的部分，則是以教育程度及經濟狀況感受做為測量指標。
結果：項式邏輯式迴歸分析結果中，在控制其他自變項的影響下，將自覺健康狀況好與不好相比之下，年齡在65-74歲、籍貫為客家人、無罹患慢性病、教育程度在國小及國中以上、經濟狀況感受為稍嫌不足及夠用者，其自覺健康狀況是傾向於好。而自覺健康狀況普通與不好相比之下，年齡在65-74歲、無罹患慢性病、地區剝奪程度低、教育程度在國小、經濟狀況為稍嫌不足及夠用者，其自覺健康狀況是傾向於普通。
結論與建議：本研究發現，地區剝奪與社經地位會影響自覺健康的情形，社會上的不平等會造成貧窮，地區剝奪程度高的地方其整體物資及資源是分配不均等，因此政府應縮短不平等之現象，讓民眾不會因區域不同、社經地位高或低進而影響健康的情形。

Objective: This study was to investigate the effect of self-rated health for elderly on area deprivation and socioeconomic status in Taiwan.
Method: This study is secondary data analysis, the use of the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Centre for Survey Research Center was completed in 2007 on the "advent of an aging society: for the 2025 Taiwan Social Planning Integration - different generations living for elderly demand, service providers and value preferences of research (over 65 years), "the effective sample completed the interview of 1308.
The measurement is based on perceived health questions in the questionnaire to ask respondents why the current perceived health status, this study perceived good health and good classified as "good", the general classified as "ordinary", very bad and bad classified as "poor."Independent variable include characteristics of the sample, area deprivation, socioeconomic status. In this study, we used two indictors to compose the area deprivation Index, the rate of standardization primary occupation population and standardization prevalence of non-schooling 15-17 years. The area deprivation Index data came from 2000 and 2010 Census of Population and Housing Taiwan-Fukien Area. Socioeconomic status was measured as education and feelings of economic status.
Result:Multiple logistic regression analysis results, controlling for other independent variables under the influence of perceived health status will be good and bad contrast, the age of 65-74 years old, native of Hakka, no chronic diseases, education level Elementary and junior high above, the economic situation and the feelings of inadequacies enough, their perceived health status is inclined to good. The perceived health status between ordinary and poor contrast, the age of 65-74 years old, no chronic diseases, the low level of area deprivation, elementary education level, economic status and good enough for the inadequacies, their perceived health status tend ordinary.
Conclusion and Suggestion: The study found that area deprivation and socioeconomic status affects perceived health situation, social inequality causes poverty, deprived areas where a high degree of its overall supplies and uneven distribution of resources, the government should reduce the inequality of the phenomenon so that people will not be due to regional differences, high or low socioeconomic status and thus affect the health situation.
