本篇論文第一章說明創作動機與目的、研究方法、研究議題。第二章以肖像畫、權力關係、孤獨為相關學理。第三章為創作理念與作品詮釋，透過肖像、姿態、生活當中的符號組合。創作媒材以油畫為主的質感呈現莊嚴和華麗的樣貌，透過表情、姿態以及貓毛的溫暖，暗喻寵物地位的提升。第四章闡述創作時的心情與未來展望。


創作論述將個人於2009-2013年的創作方向與發展作一說明。看著貓各種行為與姿態讓我感到好奇，也觀察到貓喜怒哀樂，讓我的生活有了轉換的步調。貓介入生活空間改變的權力關係。


生活當中的互動過程和貓相處建立互信橋梁，宛如人和人之間相處最重要的媒介，以貓為創作中心的議題，貓帶給來的溫暖與放鬆，反映我對於創作的表現角度，生活當中人和人之間的相處隔閡，在貓介入有了緩頰、透過「貌」作為討論的議題，關心取代冷戰、不解的心情。


透過主題「貌」將「人、貓」之間的依存為檢視生活的省思，是創作所思考的核心。有如高社會階層的人，傲視群雄睥睨一切。「貓」和「人」到底誰才是真正掌控權力角色的弔詭中，存在著權力流轉的微妙心理，是此系列創作的主要內容。藉此呈現寵物地位和情感之投射，尋求釋放心中壓力的出口。

The first chapter in this paper introduces the motivation and purpose of creation, study method and topic; the second chapter focuses on relative theories of portraiture, power relations and loneliness; the third chapter is about the creation ideas and interpretation of works, involving the symbolic combination of portrait, gesture and life. The media material adopts oil paintings to show a grand and gorgeous expression through the texture; while the facial expression, gesture and warm hair of a cat reveals the promotion of pets’ statuses. In the last chapter, the author illustrates the mood for creation and future prospects.

The creation discourse takes the author’s art works from 2009 to 2013 as the development orientation. Various behaviors and gestures of a cat arouse the author’s curiosity, making him feel relaxed when seeing the cat’s different emotions. The cat is involved in the power relation to the change of life space.

Interactions with cats in real life build the bridge of mutual trust, which is the most important media for people to get along with each other. With the theme of cats as the core of creation, the warmth and relaxed mood generated by the cat is reflected in my creation. The estrangement between people in real life is relieved after the cat gets involved in people’s life. With the appearance as a topic for discussion, caring takes the place of indifference and confusion.

With the images, it reviews people’s life based on the interdependence of people and cats, which is the core of the creation. Similar to that of people in the upper social class who may regard others with disdain, there is a subtle psychological phenomenon of who is the one holding the power between cats and people which is also a perspective presented in this series. Thus, it displays the position of pets and a reflection of emotions, seeking for a way of releasing inner stress.
