The study first aims to understand the third-grade junior high school students'' conditions of and difference among self-awareness, social capital and career intention. Second, it discusses the relationship between the self-awareness and the social capital. Third, self-awareness and social capital are also used to predict the condition of career intention. The questionnaire used in the study was adapted from “Third-grade Junior High School Students'' Self-awareness, Social Capital and Career Intention”. 1030 copies of questionnaires were issued with stratified proportional sampling. 711 copies were valid with the effective rate of 69%. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics method, t-test, one way ANOVA, chi-square test and Scheffe comparison method, product-moment correlation, and discrimination analysis and other statistical methods for each hypothesis test. The results showed that first, the students’ self-awareness and social capital are all above the average. Second, all of the students intend to continue their studies. The intentions from the highest to the lowest intention are vocational school, senior high school and other school systems. Third, on self-awareness, some background variables (gender, father''s occupation levels, family residence patterns, skill courses, academic ability) are significant differences. Fourth, on social capital, most of the background variables (gender, father''s occupation level, father''s education level, mother’s education, family residence patterns, number of children in the family, skills courses, academic ability) are significant differences. Fifth, on career intentions, most of the background variables (gender, father''s occupation level, mother’s occupational level, father’s education level, mother’s education level, skill courses, academic ability) are significant differences. Sixth, the students'' self-awareness has a significant moderate positive correlation with social capital. Seventh, students'' self-awareness can predict their career intention partially. Eighth, the students'' social capital can predict their career intentions partially. Ninth, the students'' self-awareness and social capital can not predict their career intentions.
