50 ppm次氯酸水及三種微生物製劑對樹木褐根病菌菌絲生長並無抑制作用。天然抽出物對樹木褐根病菌的生長抑制試驗發現以土肉桂及陰香效果最佳,1000ppm 的效果與殺菌劑普克拉的效果相當;紅檜、扁柏及澳洲茶樹效果不佳。野薑花、扁柏、玉蘭花之純露則沒有任何效果。將土肉桂精油及農委會推薦登記的緊急用藥配合其他單位的推薦用藥進行灌注試驗,發現這些措施對於土壤中殘存的樹木褐根病菌似乎沒有效果。比較起來還是利用邁隆進行土壤燻蒸消毒比較澈底有效。
以台大曾顯雄教授提供的高壓點滴灌注法及中興大學劉東啟教授的自然生態療法,依照渠等的施作標的進行追蹤發現結果似乎與他們陳述的效果有相當大的差距。褐根病的防治工作是一件重要的工作,跟許多的其他病害一樣,早期發現早期防治可以收到最大的防治效果,同時亦可減少防治經費的支出。但是多元化的社會裡自然充斥著許多其他的說法或是方法,透過本研究的執行,一些方法特別是非農藥的防治方法可以受到檢視,避免防疫單位因為不瞭解以致經費被誤用,而錯失防治良機。

50ppm HOCl and three microbial products have no inhibition on the mycelial growth of Phellinus noxius. Extracts of plant test showed the essential oils of Cinnamomum osmophloeum and Cinnamomum burmannii have strong inhibition on the mycelial growth of Phellinus noxius as 1000ppm prochlora. Water extract of Michelia alba DC. Chamaecyparis formosensis Matsum、Hedychium coronarium Koenig have on effect on the growth of P. noxius mycelia. Test of injection of C. osmophloeum essential and fungicides recommended by COA showed no effect on the survival of P. noxius in the soil. Fumigation of basamid has more effect on the survival of P. noxius in the soil.
After tracing the high pressure injection into stem of SST of NTU and ecological treatment of LDC of NCHU, we found the results of those control methods show huge distance from those whom they talked about.
It is a very important work to control the tree brown rot disease. Early finding and early prevention will be the best control of tree brown root rot disease as many other diseases, and could cut down the cost. There are many different sayings about tree brown root rot disease in the modern society. Those sayings including the non-pesticide control of tree brown root rot disease could be checked and the budget could not be misued and lost the good timing to control the disease through the study.
