近二十年間幼兒過重及肥胖盛行率逐年上升,可能與飲食行為和幼兒多坐少動的生活型態有關。為改善幼兒生活型態,近幾年歐美國家皆訂定或修訂2-6歲幼兒的體能活動指標,但國內研究鮮少探討幼兒體能活動量。因此,本研究欲了解台灣地區4-6歲幼兒動態、靜態活動和睡眠時間與幼兒體位之相關性。研究在2012年分別於新北市、高雄縣及花蓮縣幼托園所抽取幼兒。由老師及家長填寫幼兒基本問卷,以收集幼兒動靜態活動與睡眠時間及父母的社會因子;並以半定量飲食頻率問卷中的8類食物項目及脂肪攝取行為,分析幼兒近一個月於學校及家中的食物及營養素攝取情形。幼兒體位包括身高、體重測量及BMI (Body mass index) 之計算。結果顯示,幼兒每日平均靜態活動時間為3.65 ± 0.99小時,每日平均總睡眠時間約10.03±0.87小時。幼兒體位與螢屏時間及午睡時間呈顯著正相關(r=0.12, P=0.008; r=0.11, P=0.02);同時發現幼兒體位與父母體位及母親教育程度有相關性( P<0.05)。經調整午睡、總熱量攝取及社會影響因子後,螢屏時間對體位的解釋量為1.0 % (P=0.019)。綜合上述,螢屏時間與父母體位、職業及母親教育程度皆為影響學齡前幼兒體位的重要因子。期望本次研究結果能提供預防幼兒肥胖相關政策之參考。
The prevalence of childhood obesity has increased over the past twenty years. Besides unhealthy eating behaviors, lack of physical activity is also one of the reasons for obesity. The United States and European countries have established physical activity guidelines for preschool children to maintain their healthy weight status. However, only a few studies have evaluated the relationship between physical activity, sedentary activity, sleep time and childhood obesity in Taiwan. The purpose of this study is to investigate relationships between activities and childhood obesity among kindergarten in Taiwan. Kindergarten children were recruited from New Taipei city, Kaohsiung city and Hualien city in 2012. The execution of the investigation used basic information and semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire. Basic information questionnaire Questions including children’s physical activity, sedentary activity, sleep time and parents’ socio-demographic characteristics. A validated semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire including eight categories of food list and fat intake behaviors questions was used to evaluate dietary intake of children during last month. Time of children’s physical activity, sedentary activity, and sleeping were collected from parents. Both teachers and parents filled out semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaires to estimate children’s daily energy intake. BMI (Body mass index) was used to evaluate children’s weight status. Results showed that average daily sedentary activity and sleep duration time were 1.92 ± 1.03 hours/day and 10.03±0.87 hours/day respectively. Children’s BMI was positively correlated with screen and afternoon nap time (r=0.12, P=0.008; r=0.11, P=0.02). Parents’ BMI and maternal education level were also influential factors of children’s BMI (P<0.05). Screening time could explain 1.0 % variation of children’s BMI after adjusting afternoon nap time, total calorie intakes and socioeconomic factors (P=0.019). Besides parents’ BMI, occupation and maternal education, screening time is an important risk factor of children’s weight status. The results of this study are expected to be useful for childhood obesity prevention policy making.
