These literatures indicates that guilt and shame often difficult to distinguish and confusion in transgressing situations occur simultaneously. In view of previous assessments of guilt and shame does not distinguish between disposition and behavior. The purpose of this study was to development of a Traditional Chinese Version of the assessment of guilt and shame. First, conducted exploratory factor analysis for GASP, and to determine the factor structure. Second, Chinese version of guilt and shame scale and examined its reliability. Finally,Description guilt and shame similarities and differences, and the results were cross-cultural contrast. Two hundred fifty-three undergraduate students were to complete Chinese version of guilt and shame scale and demographic information. All participants individually completed the measures in small group sessions. In this study, GASP were three factor structures that negative self-conscious emotions, shame-withdraw behavior subscale and guilt-repair behavior subscale. The negative self-conscious emotion subscale contains shame-NSE and guilt-NBE. All of guilt and shame scale and negative self-conscious emotion subscale were internal reliabilities all exceeded benchmark of .60. But internal reliability of shame-withdraw behavior subscale and guilt-repair behavior subscales below .60. Research found guilt and shame relate self-concept that does have cultural differences. Guilt and shame scale is defined by the concept of Western culture. Recommendations prepared in accordance with the orientation of Chinese shame culture assessment tools.
