dihydroflavonol、2,4′,6′,7-tetrahydroxy-5-flavone、2′,4′,5,7-

Phyllostachys makinoi Hayata and Cudrania cochinchinensis
are endemic species of Taiwan. They ware analyzed flavonoids by high performance liquid chromatography. P. makinoi contains six components including isoorientin, orientin, vitexin, isovitexin, rutin and naringin; C. cochinchinensis contains five components including 1,3,7-trihydroxy-4-prenylxanthone, 3,4′,5,7-tetrahydroxy-dihydroflavonol, 2,4′6′,7-tertrahydroxy-5-
flavone, 2′,4′,5,7-tetrahydroxy-flavanonol and 1,3,5-trihydroxy-
xanthone. The result showed that P. makinoi collected from Nanzhuang Township and Shitan Township were better than Taishan Dist and Dahu Township on antioxidant capacity. C. cochinchinensis extracted from pith showed good antioxidant and tyrosinase inhibitory.
