背景:護理人員工作時間長、工作負擔過重、護病關係緊張等因素,造成工作壓力,繼而引發身心理的失調。因此,本研究的目的乃探討護理人員的同理心、職場疲勞以及身心健康間之相關性。研究方法:採橫斷式調查,研究對象以南部醫院的護理人員為主,共計1024個樣本。所得資料之分析利用描述性統計、獨立樣本t檢定、單因子變異分析、皮爾森相關等統計方法。研究結果:護理人員的同理心得分107分,具中上程度。職場疲勞之個人疲勞平均得分為60.3分;工作疲勞平均得分為54.8分;服務對象平均得分為41.9分。身心健康平均得分為76分,具中等程度。同理心愈高,其身心健康愈佳、職場疲勞(個人疲勞、工作疲勞、服務對象相關疲勞)皆愈低。影響身心健康之預測因子為婚姻狀況、工作單位、同理心、個人疲勞、工作疲勞、服務對象相關疲勞。討論:本研究結果有助於及早警覺職場疲勞因應或預防,並提供醫療衛生單位及護理教育機關作為養成教育或在職訓練宣導之參考。
Background: Working overtime, heavy workload and tense nurse-patient relationship are the factors contributing to work pressure, and physiological disorders. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the association between empathy, burnout, physical and mental health status of nurses. Method: This research was a cross-sectional design utilizing quantitative methodology. A total of 1024 nurses of hospitals in southern Taiwan were enrolled in this research. The methodology of analysis included descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and regression. Results: The results revealed that empathy score was 107. Among the workplace burnout, personal burnout score was 60.3, work-related burnout score was 54.8, and client-related burnout score was 41.9. Besides, mental health score was 76. The Pearson correlation analysis showed that higher empathy was related to better mental health and lower workplace burnout. The predictive factors for mental health included marriage, work-department, empathy, personal burnout, work-related burnout, and client-related burnout. Conclusion: This research helps us to detect the signs of burnout early in order to cope or to prevent burnout for nurses. Furthermore, it provides a reference for hospital managers or nursing education department in the training education or workplace advocacy.
