Value creation has been a central focus in business operation. In the development of cultural and creative industrial industries, however, how to acquire and utilize capital to create value is less studied. Framed within the capital and value creation perspectives, this research explores this under-investigated issue through a qualitative single case study.
The case under exploration is Hwang Sun Enterprise (HSE) which successfully migrates from traditional equipment production into cultural and creative production.
This research develops two implications. First, the development of cultural and creative industry is a dynamic process of interaction by the four capital. Within the dynamic process, social capital play the key role to start the interaction. Second, Cultural capital is the core of value creation in cultural and creative industry. And it should be aided by other capital to create value.
