近年來,網頁應用程式介面(Web API)服務的探索與應用受到學術暨實務界的重視。Web API將不同資源的網路服務以混搭方式,提供組織或民眾使用;而鏈結開放資料(Linked Open Data, LOD)之目的係為建立電腦可解譯且互連的資料網,提供使用者擴展性的知識延伸服務。因此,整合LOD與Web API的創新資訊應用服務已成為網際智慧化社會發展中的重要研究議題。然而,現有整合性研究多偏向於圖書、音樂及電影等領域,對於特定領域知識(如航空器)相對缺乏。
本研究企圖整合LOD及Web API技術,建構「民(軍)用航空器知識檢索服務」,研究達成兩項目標:第一、以國際旅遊風險、民(軍)航空器空難事件及旅遊資訊等開放性或公開性資料為基礎,開發應用程式介面層的整合性檢索服務;第二、以維基百科及DBpedia為知識延伸之來源,建立航空器、疾病、機場、航空公司或國家之延伸性鏈結資訊。本研究結合時間與空間概念,以視覺化方式呈現有關航空器空難知識、旅遊資訊及旅遊風險的多維度鏈結性知識,除讓使用者更易理解相關知識外,同時增進航空器、機場、旅遊國家或相關傳染疾病的進階認識。

In recent years, the exploration of Web API has been greatly valued on researchers and practitioners. The development of Web APIs and their potential for integrating a variety of services with mashup web design for general or organizational users is an important issue. Since the purpose of Linked Open Data (LOD) is to build an interlinking network so that data can be interpreted by machines, providing an extensible knowledge retrieval service. In the era of intelligent web, the major study has also been put attention to demonstrate the effect of using LOD and Web API. However, the existing of integrated researches mainly focuses on books, music and movies, and so on. Unfortunately, the integrated research about specified knowledge (e.g. aircraft) is deficient.
This study attempts to design a “Knowledge Retrieval Service for the Civil/Military Aircraft” through the integration of LOD and Web API. The aim of this study has been achieved by two outcomes. First, we develop an integrated retrieval service through the Google Map API and multiple different data sources: International travel risks, Civil/Military aircraft crash events and travel information and other open or published data. Second, we build a linked-service for expanding aircraft, disease, airports, airlines or national information through linking Wikipedia infobox and DBpedia dataset. The service not only uses a way of data visualization to present the linked knowledge of international tourism risk, as well as allowing users a better understanding of information, but also increases the advanced understanding about aircraft, disease, airports, airlines, country or infectious diseases-related knowledge.
