在目前高齡化社會與慢性病為主的醫療環境趨勢下，長期照護不僅倍受重視，跌倒的發生更是居家照護中非常常見之問題。依據台灣病人安全通報系統資料顯示，2013年醫院發生跌倒事件共計10,613件，發生跌倒時進行的活動為上下床、進出浴廁及行進中，跌倒對象評估為高危險群者計6,735件，佔總件數之63.5%。另依衛生福利部資料顯示，台灣地區65歲以上人口死因之事故傷害佔居第七位，其中又以跌倒為事故中第二大主因；因此建置一套完善的跌倒偵測系統是相當重要的，而現行之跌倒偵測系統可分為固定式、配帶式，以及綜合兩者功能之偵測設備。
本研究採用雙Kinect為主要偵測系統進行跌倒偵測實驗。分別於頭部上方及側面架設偵測設備，採以頭部位置為主要偵測目標。本實驗結果證實，我們所提出之以Kinect可準確辨識頭部落點，以達到正確辨識跌倒之功能。

In the aging society with chronic disease medical environment trends, long-term care is not only more important and falls of in home care is a very common problem. According to Taiwan patient safety reporting system data show 2013 hospital stumbling on a total of 10,613, and activities that happen when he fell, and out of the bathroom and the bed moving up and down, falling object evaluates to 6,735 for the high-risk group, total number of 63.5%. According to the Ministry of health and welfare figures show that Taiwan's population aged 65 causes of death injuries occupy seventh place, which falls to second leading cause in the accident; therefore a perfect fall detection system is very important, and the current fall detection system consists of fixed, matching belt, and combined two functions of detection equipment.
Detection system using dual Kinect for this study fall detection experiments. Side-mounted detection equipment and head respectively, mining head position as the main detection targets. The results confirmed that we can accurately identify the head of the proposed placement, identification falls to reach the correct function.
