本論文提出日間和夜間的車輛偵測系統,其主要的宗旨是用較為簡單的方法來降低在軟體端的計算量和複雜度以及硬體端的成本。經過影像的前處理後,本論文第一步先判斷車道線的位置,接著基於車道線的範圍偵測前車車輛。有別於其他偵側車道線的方法,本論文提出簡單但有效的方法來偵測車道線。在日間和夜間的偵測前車車輛的方法並不相同,於日間,本論文利用車輛於道路上的陰影來偵測前車車輛的底部,於夜間,本論文利用車輛的紅色車尾燈來做車輛的辨識。
In this thesis, we present a front-vehicle detection system in both daytime and night time. The key philosophy is simplicity in order to reduce computation complexity. The first step is to identify the traffic lanes. Unlike prior work of lane detection, we propose a simple method to find the traffic lanes. In particular, we also consider the situation when the traffic lanes are not straight lines. After the lanes are identified, the closest vehicle is detected. The methods to detect the front vehicle in daytime and night time are different. In daytime, the shadow information is used to find the bottom of a car. In night time, the tail lights are used to detect the vehicle. We have combined the identification of traffic lanes and the detection of front vehicles inside the lane region.
