本實驗主要目的為探討不同的流道板組合使用於被動式直接甲醇燃料電池組時的性能差異,並經過比較後找出最適用於其電池組的流道板組合。本研究組裝出單電池與8-cell平板式電池組,且以實驗的方式去量測被動式直接甲醇燃料電池/電池組的性能並分析,並透過改變流道板、電池操作溫度、甲醇水溶液濃度、cell堆疊數量等操作參數,探討對於單電池與電池組的開路電壓與極限電流密度對於輸出功率密度的影響,最後,將實驗結果以V-I curve與P-I curve圖的方式呈現。由實驗結果中,我們得到當陽極端使用平行孔洞流道板;陰極端使用樹枝形孔洞流道板,電池操作溫度為50 oC、甲醇水溶液濃度為1 M時於單電池/8-cell電池組皆能產生最大功率密度,分別為19 mA/cm^2與16.9 mA/cm^2。
In this study, cell performance testing and measurements of different types of flowfields at the anode/cathode side of a passive micro direct methanol fuel cell (μDMFC) were conducted. The main objective was finding the optimum flowfield combination under a series of varied working conditions, such as working temperature, methanol solution concentration and stack cell number. Finally, the experimental results were presented in the form of polarization V-I curves and P-I curves. The experimental results show that the parallel perforated flowfield used at the anode side and the dendrite perforated flowfield used at the cathode side can produce the best power density for single cell and 8-cell stacks. The power density of the single cell and 8-cell stacks were 19 mA/cm^2 and 16.9 mA/cm^2 with same working conditions: 50 oC working temperature and 1 M methanol solution concentration.
