在全球化的時代裡，越來越多人選擇跨國婚姻，但卻對異地婚姻生活了解甚少，因此本研究希望藉此提供更多人了解跨國婚姻之生活，以及提供未來嫁到捷克的女性有更多國外生活的想法。
台灣女性嫁至捷克皆發生在1990年以後，1990年後的台灣的政治經濟情況相對穩定，此移民經驗更符合台灣當今婚姻移民的情況。本研究旨在探討台灣女性嫁到捷克的生活適應的情形，以及文化想像如何影響生活適應。
由於台灣女性移民捷克的人數較少，本研究以採取質性研究進行研究。就深度訪談法(in-depth interviewing)訪談七位婚姻移民至捷克的台灣女性，就他們的敘述中了解每個事件對其之意義為何。文化想像對於遷移過程、結婚、生活適應的影響。
從研究過程中，開始對他們在捷克生活的樣貌有了初步的了解。本研究發現從異國戀到異國婚姻的決定上，主要還是圍繞在「男大當婚，女大當嫁」、「傳宗接代」、等傳統價值觀念上。但卻也發現在文化上除了趨向傳統的想像外，也有希望從傳統裡逃脫出來的情況，這樣反文化的動力，更促使人進入另一個文化脈絡中。其次，台灣女性婚姻移民在捷克之生活經驗實際上是一延續原生活的適應歷程。最後，我發現女性在家庭關係中拉扯的不單只是儒家文化，更是作為一個女人同時渴望主體與家庭的生活。

In the era of globalization more and more people choose cross-border marriage, but few people understand marriage in a foreign country.
The purpose of this research is to make people understand the life of cross-border marriage, and also to provide a Taiwanese Female who wants to marry a Czech and live in Czech Republic more understanding and preparation for their life adaptation in the future.
Taiwanese women started marrying to Czech after 1990. At that moment, Taiwan's political and economic situation was relatively stable so the immigrant experience at that time is more compliant than today. This research aimed to explore Taiwanese women‘s life adaptation in Czech Republic and how cultural imaginary affect on life adaptation.
Because these immigrants are small in number, this research approaches each case with in-
depth interviewing. After interviewing seven Taiwanese Female marriage immigrants the study then discusses each experience and explains cultural imagination how to affect migration, life adaptation and wedding.
During the period of the research, the researcher had further understanding for Taiwanese women’s life in Czech. It was found that, the factors influencing their decision from dating relationships to marriage are seemed to be still strongly influenced by some traditional Chinese values: the imperative of marriage for men and women, carrying on the family tree, etc. On the other hand, someone also hoped to escape from tradition. Traditional culture pushes them to other culture. Second, the Taiwanese marriage immigrants' life adjustment in Czech is a process of continuous original life. Eventually, In addition to Confucian culture, life adjustment of Taiwanese women is the tugs between to be the subject and to have family life as a woman.
