This research uses the data, the Survey of Family Income and Expenditure by Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, Executive Yuan, from 1994 to 2013 to explore the income inequality of housing ownership based on the equalized Gini coefficient; and finds out the inequality source by decomposition of the equalized Gini coefficient. First of all, when the income inequality of housing ownership is studied based on the income, education background, age and gender of the household head, the research shows that the income inequality of the owner occupant without loan is the highest under the condition of high income, high education background, advanced age, low education background and middle age. For the group of low income, the income inequality of the owner occupant with loan is the highest. However, the income inequality of the housing renting one is increasing continuously. Besides, the income inequality of different housing ownership will be deepened by the compensation of employees and capital income. On the contrary, the transfer income can improve the overall income inequality and the influence is enhanced year after year.
