摘 要

中小企業一直是台灣的經濟發展的動力,台灣中小企業的興盛與衰弱都會
直接影響到台灣的經濟,近年來,瞬息萬變的經營環境使得台灣許多中小企業
面臨危機,然而如何發展國際化來達到永續經營的目的對台灣中小企業有著關
鍵性的影響。
本研究針對企業國際化之相關文獻進行整理,歸納出企業在進行國際化時
會經過的四項過程,其中包括環境的變化、國際化的動機、海外市場的進入策
略、投資區位的選擇,並透過深入訪談五位已經成功國際化的台灣中小企業高
階管理者的經驗來對應本研究推論出企業國際化經過的四項過程對台灣中小企
業的適用性。
研究結果顯示,這四項過程不僅適用於中小企業且是一個漸進式的關係,
本研究之研究結果可提供相關領域之研究者進行後續之深入訪談或依據本研究
之相關論點發展問卷進行量化研究,並期望為預想發展國際化的台灣中小企業
在策略上能有相當之貢獻。
Abstract

Small-and-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have been the economic lifeline of
Taiwan; their prosperity or problems have directly affected Taiwan’s economy
in recent years. A rapidly changing business environment has caused many
Taiwanese SMEs to face a crisis. International development is the primary means
to achieve sustainable operation for Taiwanese SMEs.
In this study, the relevant literature yields four factors companies face when
undergoing internationalization: environmental changes, international
motivation, foreign market entry strategies and investment location selection. In-
depth interviews with five executives of Taiwanese SMEs who successfully
underwent the internationalization experience aimed to verify the four
internationalization factors as suitable for this study.
The results showed that the four not only applicable to SMEs, but also to
progressive relationships; the results of this study can help researchers in related
fields to subsequently carry out in-depth interviews or do quantitative research
according to the relevant arguments in this study’s designed questionnaire. It is
expected that the strategies for the development of the internationalization of
Taiwanese SMEs will make a significant contribution.
