The economic indicators, such as Gross domestic Product, do not reflect
the real situation that a country is having. Basing only on the economic aspect
a country cannot be understood.

The improvement in social subject-matter that a country have with out
an indicator to measure it, will not reflect the reality. Is important not only to
understand the actual situation, social indicators also help to focus the future
work in specific areas, making more efficient the process of alleviating social
problems for a government.

Basing on the GDP list of countries and the Social Progress imperative
index, these thesis will analyzes, a country in particular, Bangladesh, to
explain the different aspects of both indicators and the missing of information
to understand a country reality if there is one.

The main purpose of this work is to prove, how the standard of
economic indicators now a days, are not acquired to explain the economic and
social situation of a country.
