Mineral industries are extractive industries with non-renewable resource. With the limitation of the natural resource, production efficiency, and even the impact from environment, mineral firms focus on pursuing financial profits very much and the financial performance of each firm is quite different.

The scale and capacity of Asian mineral firms are rather small compared with Western countries. Among Asian mineral firms, their scale and capacity, products, and even environment conditions are quite different so as that their profits are influenced by many factors.

By reviewing a lot of research in mineral industries, this study investigates an Asian Multinational Corporation (MNC) called S Company on the influence factors of each BU (Business Unit) with financial performance in all aspects of point of view. This study also tries to analyze the statistical results and propose possible recommendations to improvement their financial performance.

According to the results of the study, we found that the influenced factors are quite different among different countries in S Company. The main reason is that each BU produces their products with quite different applications and the processes of each BU are different which results in the influence factors of production are also different.
