本論文以桃園縣復興鄉賽考列克為主要研究對象，旨在探討泰雅語inlungan這個語詞的隱喻表現。本論文第一章主要介紹復興鄉賽考列克的地理背景、泰雅語的方言概況，以及泰雅語的語法簡介。第二章討論泰雅語inlungan的構詞與語意，在復興鄉賽考列克的部落族人，通常會將泰雅語的 inlungan解讀成「心臟」或「心」，但是我們在語料當中發現inlungan並不是具體可見的器官，泰雅語復興鄉賽考列克方言的「心臟」是tucing，而泰雅語的 inlungan是一個抽象的大概念，是無法通過直接觀察或接觸去理解，故本章節將釐清inlungan、tucing「心臟」、tunux「頭」之間的語意概念，並且將根據Atayal的構詞原理來分析、解構inlungan 的組成，來驗證泰雅語inlungan是從lnglung「想」這個詞根衍生而來，筆者也將從語料的共現中去闡述inlungan 可以進一步去描述人的思維、心性特質與情緒。第三章筆者依據Lakoff &; Johnson﹙1980﹚的概念隱喻理論以及人的身體經驗為依據，來分析泰雅語inlungan 的隱喻表現，我們會從「一般物質隱喻」、「特殊物質隱喻」、「方位性隱喻」三個隱喻型態去討論泰雅語的隱喻關係，希望藉著語料的研析，探究部落族人的隱喻表達，從而瞭解隱喻背後所隱含的文化訊息，亦透過inlungan這個語詞去了解Atayal的思維模式，例如泰雅語會用一般的物質概念，如尺寸、重量、溫度、顏色、速度、數量等等特徵，還有特殊的隱喻概念，如inlungan 視為食物、inlungan 視為易碎物、inlungan 視為易燃物、inlungan 視為容器、inlungan 視為「人」以及方位性的隱喻概念，去描述具體的人格特質與個性，也可以去描述人的情緒與心理活動狀態，甚至可以去描述人的思維活動。第四章是結論，筆者將本論文各章節的綜述進行統整與歸納，並提出本論文的貢獻與缺失，根據本論文的不足之處作為未來繼續研究的方向與目標。

The main subject of the study is the Squliq group of Atayal of Fuxing Township, Taoyuan County. The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate the metaphoric expression of the word“inlungan.”The first chapter of this thesis will focus on introducing the geographic background of Squliq of Fuxing Township,an over view of the Atayal language and the brief introduction of the Atayal grammar.
The second chapter will discuss about the morphology and semantics of the Atayal word“inlungan.”The Squliq tribe people in Fu-Sing Township usually use the word “inlungan”to mean“heart”or“mind”. But from the corpus we found that the word“inlungan”doesn’t mean any specific or visible organ. The dialect of Atayal language of Squliq of Fuxing Township,“tucing”means the organ,“heart”. but for the Atayal“ inlungan”is just an abstractive idea. You can’t really understand it just by direct observing or contact it. So in this chapter we will make clear the different semantic idea among the words, inlungan, tucing(heart), and tunux (head). Besides by the morphology principle of Atayal, we will analyze and explain how the word“ inlungan”was composed to prove that the Atayal word “inlungan”is deriving from the word“Inglungan”(thinking). According to the corpus’ information, the writer will elaborate how the word“ inlungan”could be used to describe men’s thought, their mind traits and emotions.
In the third chapter, the author will analyze the metaphoric expression of “inlungan” according to the conceptual metaphor theory of Lakoff &; Johnson in 1980. We will analyze and discuss the metaphorical relationship of the inlungan from the three types of metaphor; " General Material Metaphor ", " Special Material Metaphor "and "Orientational Metaphor".
The author hope that through the research and analysis of the corpus to study the tribe people’s metaphorical expression, to understand the cultural message which was hidden behind, and through the word “inlungan” to understand the Atayal’s way of thinking. Sometimes the Atayal will use the general material concept to describe specific personality traits and characteristics, such as :sizes, weight, temperature, colors, speed, and the quantity etc…and some other special metaphoric concepts. For example, they may regard the“inlungan”as food, as fragile, as inflammable, as container, as people or other orientational metaphors concept to describe specific personality traits and character. We can also use it to describe people’s emotion, mind activities and also using it to describe people thinking activities as well.
Chapter four is the conclusion. The writer will integrate and induce the summary of all the chapters of the thesis to point out the contribution and defect in it. And because of the deficiency of this thesis, it will be the direction and objective for the future research.
