本研究旨在探討雙耳互動與單耳低冗贅兩種電腦化聽覺訓練對聽覺中樞處理困難成人聽覺表現之介入成效,採用單一受試研究法之交替介入設計,以一位聽覺中樞處理困難25歲女性為研究對象。
研究展開前先收集前測(行為測驗和P300檢查)數據,之後進入實驗處理階段,包括基線期、交替介入期與最佳介入期。基線期未提供任何聽覺訓練介入,收集研究對象於電腦化聽覺訓練前在聽覺訓練成效評量的表現;交替介入期交替進行兩種電腦化聽覺訓練各15小時,收集聽覺訓練介入過程,研究對象在聽覺訓練成效評量正確率的變化情形;最佳介入期選擇交替介入期中,聽覺訓練成效評量正確率較快達到85%的雙耳互動材料,以之連續訓練三天,繼續收集聽覺訓練成效評量之正確率。完成電腦化聽覺訓練後,進行後測(行為測驗和P300檢查),藉此比較聽覺訓練前後的進步幅度。
本研究結果如下:
一、電腦化聽覺訓練能提升聽覺中樞處理困難成人在聽覺訓練成效評量的聽覺表現,在整體、溶合和低通正確率有立即成效,且雙耳互動的效果優於單耳低冗贅。
二、從前後測資料分析之結果顯示,電腦化聽覺訓練能提升聽覺中樞處理困難成人在行為測驗和P300檢查的聽覺表現,除了聽覺中樞處理功能測驗中的頻率分辨與雙耳異訊音高兩分測驗的後測表現劣於前測,其餘行為測驗和P300檢查的後測皆優於前測。
針對研究方法與結果在研究對象、評估工具、訓練工具、訓練時間與訓練次序提出相關建議,供未來研究之參考。
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of two computer-based auditory training programs upon a 25 year-old female with central auditory processing disorder (CAPD). The two treatments were binaural interaction and monaural low-redundancy. A single subject experimental design with alternating treatment was adopted in this study.
Subject’s auditory performance (behavior tests and P300) was collected before the experimental treatment. The experimental treatment was divided into three stages: baseline, alternating treatment, and more intervention with the treatment that achieved better results in the alternating-treatment stage. Outcome measure for auditory training was collected in all these three stages. Two treatments of computer-based auditory training programs, each lasted for 15 hours, were administered alternatively at the second stage. The treatment that achieved 85% of accuracy with shorter amount of time was selected as the auditory-training material at the third stage for continuous 3 days. At the end of the computer-based auditory training session, the subject took the post test (behavior tests and P300) again.
The results were as follows:
1. Computer-based auditory training did enhance the subject’s auditory performance (total scores, scores of fusion, and scores of low-pass filtered words). The treatment which was binaural interaction in nature surpassed the other one, i.e. monaural low-redundancy.
2. Computer-based auditory training did enhance the results of behavior tests and P300, except two subtests of the behavior tests, i.e. the subtests of frequency discrimination and dichotic pitch.
Suggestions were proposed in the realm of participants, assessment tools, training tools, training duration, and training order.
