A healthy diet is the key factor of preventing diseases. Therefore, it is important to develop good eating habits. The smartphone with increasingly powerful technical capabilities has been the media which people can receive news anywhere anytime. Smartphone is a particularly attractive avenue for helping people to manage their diet in the above situations. The purpose of this study is to implement a mobile diet system based on Self-regulation Theory and Transtheoretical Model. In order to investigate the efficiency of the system, whether it can effect user‘s diet-related cognition, attitude and behavior, the experiment was conducted for four weeks. The participants were 53 students in southern Taiwan. After the experiment, the results showed that the score of nutrition knowledge had been improved and there were significant differences in diet-related behavior. Users began to manage calories and reduce sugary drinks. It showed that this system could help users to manage diet and get nutrition knowledge. After the experiment ended, there were a few of users who still used this system. It showed that this system is interesting and useful for someone who wants to manage his diet. In future, this system will be applied in diet records and analyses for different ages and groups.
