This thesis sets returning to 2 dimensions and realizing the dream of transformation from childhood as a starting point, and themes of the creation are all around the opinions and interpretations of creator’s worship toward “girls”. The project begins from the discussion of the girl’s transformative animation in my childhood, and extends to literature collections of creator’s self-projection to the girl character. According to creator’s life experiences, creator transformed the memory from the past and of today, developing a series of painting and photography of cross-dressing.
Based on painting, it begins with varieties of toys, and uses humorous, sarcastic and shallow visual language to wrap the main ideas and observations of daily life. Later, a series of cross-dressing photography presents the level of attachment of 3D and 2D, moreover dressing is a practice of attachment as well. The works display the tragedy of unattachable of 3D and 2D. The images show a certain melancholy, representing creator’s real life experiences, though it is beyond one’s control but full of humors. I can only say that it is a sad but also parodistic process.
