在自然條件下,植物生長環境的溫度、溼度與光量為有規律之曲線變化。而若以固定條件環境下栽培生長,其結果應與自然環境下生長者有所不同。以往傳統研究因受限於設備功能,研究人員只能以矩形變化代表自然實際之變動條件。為了比較恆定環境與有韻律變動環境對作物之影響,本研究採用具有模擬自然環境曲型變化能力之生長箱進行恆定與變動環境下之栽培作業。其中,定量累積溫度試驗分成三組栽培組,分別為高變化溫度栽培(日溫:22~32°C;夜溫:19~25°C)、低變化溫度栽培(日溫:21~29°C;夜溫:19~23°C)與矩形恆溫栽培。在不同溫度處理下栽培小白菜(Brassica chinensis)、莧菜(Amaranthus mangostanus)、草莓(Fragaria × ananassa)、Phalaenopsis(Phalaenopsis spp.)組培瓶苗及金線連(Anoectochilus formsamus)組培瓶苗。結果顯示在小白菜、莧菜與草莓在變溫環境栽培之生長特性顯著優於恆溫環境。在溫度控制模式試驗上,探討聖約翰草於不同溫度控制環境之生長狀況。試驗分成四組栽培組,分別為日間變化溫度栽培(日溫:19~28°C;夜溫:20°C)、夜間變化溫度栽培(日溫:23°C;夜溫:19~23°C)、概日韻律溫度栽培(日溫:23~27°C;夜溫:19~23°C)與矩形恆溫栽培。結果顯示在不同溫度處理下栽培聖約翰草(Hypericu perforaum)於概日韻律溫度栽培組之生長特性顯著優於恆溫環境。依此可說明在生物或農業之試驗研究中,以變溫控制模擬大自然之自然韻律,對於生命現象之研究比傳統恆溫環境更為合理。植物生長特性與環境之相關試驗研究,建議採用具有變溫控制之生長箱為研究工具。

In natural conditions, environment changes with regular patterns, for example, temperature, humidity and light. When crops were cultivated in fixed conditions, the results would be different from those grown in nature. Because of limit of apparatus capability, researchers usually experiment in fixed growth conditions.
In fixed accumulated temperature study, cabbage (Brassica chinensis) , amaranth (Amaranthus mangostanus), strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) , phalaenopsis (Phalaenopsis spp.) tissue culture and taiwan jewel orchid (Anoectochilus formsamus) tissue culture was adopted to compare the difference between fixed and varied growth conditions which were achieved by a growth chamber. The three treatments applied in this study were high varied temperature condition (Day: 22-32°C; Night: 19-25°C), low varied temperature condition (Day: 21-29°C; Night: 19-23°C) and constant temperature. The experimental results indicated that a significant difference of growth characteristics which found among those treatments. And the varied temperature condition was better than that fixed one in cabbage, amaranth, and strawberry.
In temperature control model study, St. John’s wort (Hypericu perforaum) was adopted to compare the difference between fixed and varied growth conditions which were achieved by a growth chamber. The four treatments applied in this study were day varied temperature condition (Day: 19-28°C; Night: 20°C), night varied temperature condition (Day: 23°C; Night: 19-23°C), circadian rhythms varied temperature condition (Day: 23-27°C; Night: 19-23°C) and constant temperature. The experimental results indicated that a significant difference of growth characteristics which found among those treatments. And the varied temperature condition was better than that fixed one in St. John’s wort.
