路德維希‧凡‧貝多芬（Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827）是古典與浪漫樂派的承先啟後重要的音樂家，被視為最後一個古典主義者，又是最先一個浪漫主義者。貝多芬的鋼琴奏鳴曲是他創作的中心，被譽為「新約聖經」的三十二首鋼琴奏鳴曲，創作樂思展現了貝多芬在他生命中不同階段的情景。
貝多芬的降A大調第十二號鋼琴奏鳴曲，作品二十六可視為1800年所創作的第一部作品，為鋼琴奏鳴曲中期的開始。為跳脫奏鳴曲式的框架，四個樂章皆未使用奏鳴曲式，且首次使用變奏曲與進行曲；第一樂章是變奏曲，包含一個主題與五個變奏、第二樂章是詼諧曲、第三樂章是送葬進行曲、第四樂章是輪旋曲，綜合了四種不同屬性的曲風完成此作品。
筆者將參考中外文書籍、音樂期刊、樂譜版本比較、網路資料以及影音資料來探討論文，全文分為四章：第一章「緒論」，包含了研究動機與目的、研究範圍與方法以及文獻探討與研究；第二章「貝多芬的生平與鋼琴奏鳴曲」，包含了貝多芬生平介紹以及貝多芬鋼琴奏鳴曲各個時期特色；第三章共分五節，包含了創作背景與風格、四個樂章的樂曲分析與詮釋；最後一章為「結論」，總結筆者研究論文的心得與成果。

Ludwig Van Beethoven was a vital composer who connected the classical and romantic music, regarded as the last classical musician and the first musician of the romantic school. The thirty-two piano sonatas of Beethoven are his creative center and called the "New Testament. " The musical thought of these sonatas shows the different stages in his life time.

Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No.12 in A-Flat, Op.26 can be considered the first work that created among 1800 years, (in the beginning of midterm). To escape the framework of sonata form, Beethoven did not use sonata form to compose four movements and this was his first time to use the forms of Variation and march. The first movement is a variation and it has a theme with five variations. The second movement is a scherzo, the third movement is a funeral march and the fourth movement is a rondo. He combined four different forms to complete this work.

I referred to foreign literatures, music journals, comparison of music scores, network data and audio data to discuss the dissertation. This dissertation is divided into five chapters: Chapter I, "Introduction", contains the motivation of research, purpose, scope of research, methods of research and literature discussion. Chapter 2, "Introduction to Beethoven's piano Sonata", contains the life time of Beethoven and the characteristics of his piano sonatas in different periods. The chapter 3 is divided into five sections, including the background of composing and the music style, the analysis of four movements and the music interpretation. The last chapter is "conclusion",and the author summarizes the experiences and results of research.
