睡眠在人的生命中占三分之一的時間,這顯示睡眠對於人類有其重要性,根據醫學研究指出長期睡眠品質不佳會導致記憶力衰退、注意力不集中、判斷能力變遲鈍、情緒不穩定、日間嗜睡且易感到疲倦、甚至造成心血管疾病增加死亡風險。傳統的睡眠檢測需使用睡眠多項生理檢查,受測者必須在身上連接多組感測器在指定環境下進行監測,其缺點為:設備昂貴、使用者無法長期穿戴接受檢測、不同的睡眠環境及身上連接多組感測器造成的不舒適導致檢查結果不準確等。為了改善此等問題,本研究提出利用智慧型手錶及自行開發的壓力感測系統進行睡眠品質判斷。智慧型手錶用來擷取睡眠期間之心率,而壓力感測系統則放置在胸口、臀部、小腿下方,用於判斷睡眠中的身體姿勢變化情形,並以APP做長期紀錄及追蹤。在睡眠品質分析上,以倒傳遞網路的演算法判斷睡眠中非快速動眼期(NREM)中淺眠(NREM1、NREM2)和深眠(NREM3)與快速動眼期(REM)之間的比例來探討與睡眠品質的關聯性。實驗結果顯示本系統能有效分類出不同的睡眠階段並判斷睡眠品質的好壞。
Sleep plays a significant role in decent health and well-being throughout the life. Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety. In ones life, one third of times are spent in sleeping to trigger the body to release the hormone and boost the immune system that promotes healthy balance of the body functionalities throughout the day. According to medical research, deficient sleep quality may lead to memory loss, inability to concentration, slower reaction, emotional instability, daytime sleepiness, feeling tired easily, and even increased risk of death caused by cardiovascular disease. Many researchers used multiple sets of sensors connected to subjects body and monitored at specified environment but drawback of the existing study is that their equipments so connected are expensive, difficult to detect in long-term daily life, inaccurate results which caused by different sleep environment and uncomfortable process of multiple sets of sensors connection. To improve above problems, in this research, we used smart watches and self-developed pressure sensing systems to judge the quality of sleep. Smart watches are used to retrieve the heart rate during sleep, and pressure sensing systems are placed at chest, hip, leg for detecting the variance of bodys posture during sleep. APP is used for long-term recording and tracking the heart rate variability and pressure. On the analysis of sleep quality, back-propagation network algorithms were used to determine the shallow sleep (NREM1, NREM2) and deep sleep (NREM3) within non-rapid eye movement (NREM). Then, we analyzed the ratio of NREM1, NREM2, NREM3 and the rapid eye movement (REM) to discuss the relevance of sleep quality. Experimental results show that the proposed systems can effectively classify different stages of sleep and quality of sleep.
