發展遲緩兒需要特殊教育、需求與醫療等照顧，在成長過程中需依靠家長持續性的教育與照顧，因此會造成家長照顧時的壓力與多方面的負擔，這些因素都會影響著家長的健康狀況。因此，本研究旨在瞭解影響發展遲緩兒家長健康之相關因素，可能是因照顧其子女以致健康上有所影響等問題。
研究方法以量性及質性併行方式，以半結構式問卷，於醫療院所搜集問卷，問卷回收總計167份。研究結果為醫療及社會扶助中「經常需要喘息服務」、「紓解壓力」、「親子關係」達統計顯著，經常需要喘息服務比不需要對健康有好的影響多0.611倍；有些與有很多壓力的改善比無改善對健康而言有好的影響，分別多0.65倍與0.94倍；有些改善親子關係部份也比無改善對健康而言有好的影響多0.80倍。復健醫療部分中的「自我練習」達統計顯著，有自我練習比無練習對健康有好的影響多2.78倍。身體狀況中的「經常生病」達統計顯著，偶爾生病比無生病對健康有不好的影響多0.37倍，經常生病比無生病對健康有不好的影響多0.26倍，這些皆會對父母健康產生影響。本研究可提供政府機構做為健康政策之參考。

The needs of the children with developmental delays demand the
caring of special education, needs and medical care; therefore, in the
process of their growth depends on the continuous education and care of
parents. Those parents definitely suffer the stress of taking care of these
children and a lot of burdens in many aspects, which would influence the
health of them. The aim of this study is to understand the factors that
sway the health of parents who are taking of the children with
developmental delays.
This research method is the combinations of quantitative and
qualitative studies. The questionnaire was designed in a semi-structured
interview, which was conducted in the medical institutions. A total of 167
parents were included. The results of the study demonstrate the "often
need for Respite Care Service", "relieve stress", "Parent-child
relationship" statistically significant, often need for Respite Care Service
than do not need to have a positive impact on health 0.611 times; some
with a lot of stress to improve than no improvement in health has a
positive impact, respectively, 0.65 times and 0.94 times; some improved
parent-child relationship more than 0.80 times better than no
improvement in health. "Self-practice in rehabilitation” in medical and
social assistance statistically significant, self-practice is 2.78 times better
than no practice has a positive effect on health. Physical condition in the
"Often sick" statistically significant, occasional sick than no health on the
health have a negative effect of 0.37 times, often sick than no health on
the health have a negative effect of 0.26 times, these will have an impact on the health of their parents. This study provides government agencies as
a reference for health policy.
