Motor is widely used in computer, communication and consumer products and also is a primarily used industrial drive. Owing to the exhausted of the petrochemical energy, electric powered car is the key success point of the next generation transportation. Therefore, the electrical motor control course is a very important subject in school. Unfortunately, there is not enough budget, space and equipment to build a qualified laboratory in school. As a result, the learning performance of the student is not good. In this thesis, a microprocessor controlled motor drive tutorial system is designed and implemented to improve aforementioned difficulties. It is worth to note that a common motor drive circuits with flexible configuration is used for all motors and using microprocessor realizes different control algorithms that can further minimize hardware cost.
