法蘭茲•約瑟夫•海頓 (Franz Joseph Haydn)為古典時期當中最著名的作曲家之一，其生平所創作的交響曲數量高達104 首。海頓除了奠定了現今的交響曲形式之外，在本文研究中也發現，海頓在樂曲配器部分藉由各樂器的特性進行組合創造出有別以往的聲響效果，也因海頓在交響曲編曲創作手法上有極高的貢獻，故海頓享有《交響曲之父》美譽之稱。
本研究主題《第104 號交響曲》創作於1795 年，屬於海頓晚期的作品之一，本首樂曲在海頓眾多的作品當中亦可說是較為成熟的作品之一。本篇論文主要探討交響曲型式的演變、時代背景、藉由樂曲分析來更加了解本樂曲的創作手法。除此之外，本文亦著重於指揮詮釋手法上的運用，在文中提列出幾位知名指揮家在指揮詮釋手法上的差異進而將樂團引領出各具特色的樂曲個性，也透過指揮基本法的搭配運用使樂曲能展現其特性，使樂曲更能展現其豐富性。

Franz Joseph Haydn was one of the most famous composers of the Classical period.He composed a total of 104 symphonies in his lifetime. Haydn laid the foundation of the form of symphony, and as for the orchestration, he was also found to join musical instruments with different timbres together to create refreshing sound effects in this paper. Haydn’s huge contributions to the skills of symphony composition have thus earned him the title, “Father of the Symphony.”
The topic of study, Symphony No.104 in D Major, was written in Haydn’s later year(1795), which is considered to be more mature as well. This paper focuses on the evolution of the form of symphony and the social and historical context back then. Hopefully, a deeper understanding of his writing skills can be reached by analyzing the composition. Furthermore, the author put a great emphasis on the uses of conducting gestures by organizing what are the differences of the techniques of conducting and interpretation among some celebrated conductors, by explaining how the whole orchestra can be led and bring out the unique character of its own in music, and by combining the
basic conducting patterns to show the quality and variety of every single piece of composition.
