The objective of this study is to design a test rig which allows to measure the flow rate and pressure to describe its performance map of the turbocharger. Compressor maps are not usually known and must be approximated by adapting maps from literature to either measured data or other information. In order to test the performance of the turbocharger, a test rig setup is built in such a manner that the setup can measure the aerodynamic properties as well as less expensive. Turbocharger TD06 was used as a reference case for the test which was carried through test stand installation to finalize compressor map. The final experimental results were compared with the simulation of the same kind of setup as well as the reference compressor map. A lab view program code was written to detect the sensors used in the test setup. A software was used to plot compressor performance map for a set of test data collected from the experiment.
